Roots to Shoots: ce;ebrating 10 years of dewar arts awards in the visual and appplied artsAn exhibition to celebrate the work of some of our awardees in the visual and applied arts.

The trustees of Dewar Arts Awards have held a series of events to mark and celebrate the tenth anniversary of Dewar Arts Awards. Established in 2002, it was set up to give exceptionally talented young people of meagre means some assistance in fulfilling their potential in any branch of the arts. “The Ten Year Cut” featuring short films from some of our award winners was screened at the Glasgow Film Festival in 2011. A concert in Perth Concert Hall showcasing our classical and jazz musicians, opera singers and composers took place in November 2011.  Award winners from the traditional music field formed part of the 2012  Celtic Connections programme.  Now it is the turn of our artists, thirteen of whom will be featured in the exhibition, they are:
