My Wicked Twisted Sense of Love explores the nuances of personal relationships. In works on paper, videos, sound installations, interactive web based installations and mixed media, five fearless artists based in cities around the world examine the complexities of love and companionship. Courageously taking on sexual personae, they exaggerate and push the boundaries of our comfort zone. This theme seems sure to stimulate conversation; we invite you to bring a guest and dish on some of your own personal history.

Can we communicate? Are we doomed to die alone? What are the consequences of solitude? Of emotional indifference? Of caring too much? To underscore what can seem like the randomness of what relationships succeed or fail, curator Leslie Moody Castro designed 2 sets of invitations to this exhibition—half contain a love letter and half a letter ending the relationship. These were distributed purely by chance.
